A large charger plate that brings together the two collections — the twelve-petal scalloped rim of the Angel series and the hand-painted multi-species butterflies of the Butterfly series — the insects scattered freely across the wide rim, the centre left entirely plain.

Form & Decoration

A wide, flat charger in high-white porcelain, its rim shaped into twelve even scalloped petals with pointed V-notches between them, a fine gold line tracing the outermost edge and drawing a small inward point at each notch. Across the broad rim, seven or eight hand-painted butterflies are placed freely at varying scales and orientations: two large monarchs in deep orange-red, one sulphur yellow specimen, one pale blue-green morpho, two small grey specimens, and one white ghost butterfly. Each is rendered with the precision of a natural history illustration. The centre well is entirely plain white, undecorated.
