Angel × Butterfly — Large Rimmed Deep Plate

The larger counterpart to the Angel × Butterfly Rimmed Soup Plate — the same scalloped petal rim, fine gold line, and hand-painted butterfly motifs, here on a 27cm form with a deeper centre well and more generous spacing between each specimen.

Form & Decoration

A wide, flat-rimmed deep plate in high-white porcelain, its broad rim shaped into even scalloped petals with a fine gold line tracing the outermost edge and drawing a small inward point at each notch. The centre is a deep, smoothly curved well — 4cm from table to rim, its walls curving continuously from the rim shoulder to the base. Five hand-painted butterflies are distributed freely across the rim at wider intervals than the smaller plate: a pale blue-green morpho at the upper left, a small brown specimen beside it, a vivid orange monarch at the right, a warm yellow sulphur below it, and a deep red-orange monarch at the lower left. The centre well is entirely plain white.
