This is two objects in conversation. The Bamboo Shadow Plate — its wide rim scattered with white bamboo leaf silhouettes on deep forest green, its incised surface barely visible beneath the glaze — becomes a stage. Resting at its centre is the Sphere Lidded Vessel: a perfect globe of high-gloss white ceramic, its surface traced with fine swirling cloud relief that catches the light as you move around it. The two halves of the sphere meet at a precise equator, lifting apart to reveal a hollow interior.

Together, they read like a single composition — a moon risen over a bamboo grove, or a stone found in a forest clearing. The contrast is deliberate: the matte, patterned green of the plate against the luminous, sculptural white of the sphere. One recedes. The other commands. Neither would be the same without the other.

Use it as a covered vessel for tea, incense, small objects, or nothing at all. Display it as a sculptural centrepiece. The set works equally well on a dining table, a tea table, a shelf, or a cabinet.
