Form & Decoration

An inverted-cone profile bowl in high-white porcelain, its foot narrow and its mouth wide, the walls rising at a generous outward angle. Three butterflies are distributed across the exterior: a large monarch in deep orange-red at the upper right, a pale blue-white specimen at the lower left, and a small gold-toned butterfly between them. Each is rendered with the precision of a natural history illustration — wing venation, body structure, and antenna included. The interior is plain white throughout, with a small circular foot ring visible from above.
