A set of four small sauce dishes, each one a single butterfly — painted at full scale inside the bowl, wings open, filling the white field from edge to edge. Blue morpho, monarch orange, sulphur gold, fire red-orange: one species per dish, no two the same.

Form & Decoration

A low, wide-rimmed round dish in high-white porcelain — its profile a single gentle arc, barely 2cm above the table, its walls curving smoothly from a flat base to a wide open mouth. The exterior is entirely plain white. Inside each dish, one hand-painted butterfly is centred in the bowl: a blue morpho with pale wing markings, a deep orange-red monarch with full wing detail, a warm golden sulphur butterfly, and a vivid red-orange fire butterfly with closed lower wing. Each butterfly is rendered with the precision of a natural history illustration — wing venation, body detail, antenna — at a scale that fills the dish interior.
