Two Legs. One Bowl. No Contact.
A porcelain spoon that stands on two forked legs — the handle splitting into a Y-form behind the neck, each branch bending to the table independently, holding the bowl entirely clear of the surface on a three-point stance.
Form
A teardrop-shaped bowl in high-white porcelain, its plan view a smooth pointed oval, its interior a shallow concave well. The neck tapers before dividing into two slender legs in a Y-configuration, each leg curving downward and then flattening at the foot to rest on the table. The bowl is suspended above the surface, supported at three points: the two leg tips and the leading edge of the bowl rim. Seen from the side, the silhouette reads as a reclining figure with legs raised — a posture of arrested motion. Seen from above, the teardrop bowl and forked legs together form the outline of a bird in flight. The entire piece is plain white throughout, undecorated.
