Form & Decoration

A wide-mouthed bowl in glossy ivory porcelain, its profile flaring steeply from a narrow foot ring to a broad open rim — the dou-li silhouette, here applied to a rice bowl. The exterior is covered in hand-painted cobalt blue scroll, framed above and below by clean border lines. The interior is pure undecorated white. A fine gold line traces the rim, the single element that bridges outside and inside.
