All the Pattern Below. All the White Above.
A study in deliberate contrast — the entire decorative vocabulary of the Fu Lu series compressed into a single cylindrical foot, so that the plate above can remain completely, perfectly plain.
Form & Decoration
A wide, conical plate in glossy ivory porcelain — its profile the classic dou-li silhouette, sloping steeply from a narrow base to a broad, flat rim traced in fine gold. The upper surface is entirely undecorated: no pattern, no motif, no interruption. All of that is reserved for the foot — a short, wide cylinder painted in hand-applied cobalt blue peony scroll, dense and continuous, the same vine that runs through the wider Fu Lu Gold collection. From the side, the composition reads as two distinct objects: a white disc floating above a blue-painted column.
