A covered dessert cup on a tall foot — its proportions deliberately top-heavy, the wide bowl balanced on a narrow column so that the whole piece reads as something presented rather than simply placed.

Form & Decoration

A hemispherical bowl in high-white porcelain, its widest point encircled by a broad band of gold thread lattice framed by a cobalt blue line above and a gold line below. Below the band, the body tapers to a short, wide cylindrical foot that flares slightly at the base — plain white, undecorated. The lid is a low dome, its shoulder carrying a narrow band of the same gold thread lattice and cobalt blue line, its centre plain white, its apex fitted with a small cylindrical knob traced in gold.
