A rice bowl in the Gold Thread manner — the lattice confined to the upper third, the rest of the bowl left entirely white, so that the decoration reads as a crown rather than a covering.

Form & Decoration

A round, full-bodied bowl in high-white porcelain, its profile swelling generously from a slightly flared foot to a wide open mouth. The upper third of the exterior carries a broad band of gold thread lattice — the same dense arc-weave as the rest of the collection — framed by a cobalt blue line above and a gold line at the rim. Below the band, the body is plain white to the foot. The interior is entirely undecorated.
