A Frame of Gold. A Field of White.
An oval dish so flat it barely casts a shadow — its entire decorative weight carried by a continuous band of interlocking gold spirals that runs from rim to centre field, leaving the interior as a clean, uninterrupted white oval.
Form & Decoration
A rounded-rectangle oval in high-white porcelain, its profile a single shallow arc from edge to edge — 1.5cm at its highest point, the walls barely rising before they flatten into the surface. The rim band is filled with a dense pattern of overlapping elliptical spirals — finer and more geometric than the arc-lattice of the bowls, closer in character to a guilloché engraving or a woven textile seen under magnification. A cobalt blue line traces the outer edge; a fine gold line runs at the very rim. The centre is plain white.
