The Lattice Radiates. The Cup Rests at Its Centre.
A wide-mouthed tea cup and its saucer, designed so that the decoration of each completes the other — the gold thread lattice running from the cup wall down onto the saucer, interrupted only by the plain white of the cup interior and the four-petal locating well at the saucer centre.
The Zunyu Cup
A wide, hemispherical cup in high-white porcelain, its interior plain white, its exterior carrying a broad band of gold thread lattice framed by a cobalt blue line above and a gold line at the rim. A slender arched handle sits flush to the body, its profile clean and undecorated.
The Saucer
A wide, flat disc covered entirely in gold thread lattice — the arc pattern radiating outward from a plain white four-petal flower-form well at the centre, its density increasing toward the outer edge. A cobalt blue line and gold rim trace the outer boundary.
