Dense, evenly-spaced diagonal lines run across the entire surface — left to right, edge to edge — creating a texture that reads like coarse linen, rattan weave, or the cross-section of a bamboo mat. The glaze sits deeper in the grooves, darker and richer, while the ridges catch the light at a slightly warmer tone, giving the surface a quiet, shifting depth that changes as you move around the table.

The colour is a warm, grounded brown — somewhere between roasted coffee, raw clay, and dark walnut. The profile is low and wide, with a naturally irregular rim that makes clear this was shaped by hand, not cast in a mould. There is no base glaze to speak of — just the same warm brown clay body, unadorned.
