A Poppy, Blown in Glass.
Named after the Yumeiren poppy — the flower of fleeting beauty in classical Chinese poetry — this teapot takes the silhouette of a bloom and renders it in clear borosilicate glass, entirely by hand.
Form & Craft
A full, pear-shaped body divided into four lobes by vertical inward curves that run from base to shoulder — the outline of a poppy petal pressed into the round. The glass is clear throughout, allowing the colour of the tea within to become the decoration: amber, jade, rose, or deep umber depending on what is brewed. The domed lid fits the neck with quiet precision, its surface rising to a small solid glass sphere knob. The spout extends in a long, tapering curve — drawn fine at the tip for a clean, controlled pour. The handle arcs from shoulder to base in a single continuous loop of clear glass, comfortable in the hand and elegant from every angle.
